If you are wondering how to use Crossplag AI, you need to register first. Once you create an account, you will receive 10 free credits to test Crossplag, and all you need to do is upload a document or paste your text into the relevant box and click “Check.”
Ease of use definitely gives Crossplag a few points. However, once you get to the most important – accuracy, that’s where Crossplag is way off.
The tool seems to work badly in terms of detecting AI content and understanding what content is written by a human, which makes it a poor option to rely on if you are looking for accuracy.

Crossplag is a platform developed by Inspera – a Norwegian-origin company that specializes in digital examination, assessment, and proctoring solutions for global organizations.
The first version of Crossplag was released in 2018, and it was a similarity-checking technology available for Albanian-speaking countries. The goal of the platform was to help Albanian students, researchers, and universities validate academic work and ensure compliance with universal academic rigor and publication ethics.
In 2024, Crossplag still offers similarity checking for education and individuals, and, additionally, it offers an AI detection tool. It supports 100+ languages and has a database of 70+ billion web articles for comparison.
Crossplag’s AI tool, in particular, was designed with the rise of generative AI technology to help educators and students assess the AI originality of text in a few simple clicks. The tool leverages a combination of natural language processing techniques and machine learning algorithms to predict whether the input text is generated by AI or written by a human.
Customer Support Service
Generally, Crossplag offers a standard number of means of communication. Its support team is available via:

This looks pretty convenient to a user. However, there are a few pitfalls.
When testing a live chat, one thing we didn’t like from the start is that you have to share your name and email address to contact the support team, which may not feel very comfortable for new users.
Furthermore, after trying to get in touch with support several times, we never received an answer in a chat. It always showed us a generic message indicating that all agents were busy and suggested contacting them via email.
As for the phone-based support, it’s also hard to break through. We dialed the support several times and were kept waiting with no result. Also, it’s worth noting that the phone number starts with “+383,” which means that you might pay a toll for your call if this isn’t your country’s code.
