We tested two of the communication methods offered. First, we texted the support team via the live chat. To do that, you need to give your name and email address first, which is a bit annoying but not a big deal. Once we did, we received an automated message—and were then connected with an agent in less than 2 minutes.
When our order was already in progress, we used UK Essays’ phone number to clarify a couple of things for the writer. We only had to wait about 3 minutes before a support agent responded, which is considered a great response time. Still, a direct customer-writer chat would’ve been better.

Because of the astronomical price, we had to choose a 7-day deadline instead—and would’ve still paid a whopping $275 if it weren’t for this month’s 20% discount. Seeing as a huge portion of writing services’ customers are students (many of them on a budget), we don’t even know how UK Essay manages to survive in such a competitive market.
We aren’t sure if it’s a temporary thing, but currently, UK Essays offers a 20% off promo code—which does help with the pricing, at least a little. Instead of the $275 we would’ve paid without the discount, we ended up paying $220. It’s still almost twice higher than what most competitors charge, but not as scary as the $700+ we first saw when we were thinking of ordering a more urgent paper.
So, answering our question, no, UK Essays isn’t an affordable service.
Revision Policy
As the essay we received was really well-written, there was no reason for us to request a revision, but we had to do so to make sure this review of UKEssays is informative and answers our readers’ questions. So, we found a relevant source the writer didn’t use and asked them to reference it in the essay at least once.
To our surprise, they didn’t argue or try to charge us for the edits—or “amendments,” using UK Essays’ terminology. They confirmed our revision request about 2 hours after we sent it and revised the paper in less than 2 hours (so we had to wait for approximately 4 hours in total). As our paper wasn’t urgent, we were impressed with the turnaround time.
However, if you intend to order from UK Essays, mind the service’s so-called “7-day amendment period.” What it means is that you should request a revision within 7 days after receiving the order. If you wait longer, the writer will most likely still agree to revise it, but, using UK Essays’ wording, “those amendments may be chargeable.”
