‍What to Know Before Placing an Order on EduGenie

If you check Reviews.io, one of the popular platforms with reviews on different services, you will see that EduGenie has an impressive customer satisfaction score of 4.7. The problem, however, is that it’s calculated based on only 32 reviews, and other review platforms — such as Trustpilot — don’t feature EduGenie at all.

If it matters, the paper we ordered to test EduGenie was a 5-page history essay on the Truman Doctrine. It’s a very common topic, and the instructions were not particularly challenging. Still, we did our best to check how competent the writer is, how willing to help the support team and other things everyone deserves to know before deciding if a writing service is worth a shot.

Can a first-time client understand everything quickly and unassisted? Does the support team help if you have any questions at this stage? Is the service transparent about the price of your order? Based on all these criteria, the answer to the “EduGenie is it reliable?” question is yes.

First, before you start the order placement process, you can use the calculator on EduGenie’s website to calculate the price of your order. You will only need to know the academic level, deadline, and number of pages. We appreciate such an approach. It gives potential customers a chance to check if the service is within their budget before wasting any time filling out the order form.

Also, if you have any issues with the order placement — no matter how small — you can always contact EduGenie’s customer support team. Although the order form is very easy to understand, we pretended to have a couple of questions to see how responsive EduGenie’s support would be. They were quick to respond and perfectly helpful. You won’t have any issues placing your order, even if it’s your first.

As you can see from the EduGenie reviews online, EduGenie’s support team is genuinely impressive. Although their responses weren’t always as instant as they were at the beginning (when we had questions about the order placement), they still came quicker than you can typically expect from academic writing services. The support was also friendly and willing to do whatever they could to help.

For example, when we received the first draft from the writer, we pretended not to understand why the paper was watermarked and how to proceed. In our experience, this is a common question among first-time clients, which is perfectly understandable. However, there are things about academic writing services, and the steps their clients have to go through that aren’t self-evident.

The support team explained everything to us almost immediately, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about the clients’ peace of mind. The same was true every time we texted them for help, no matter how small the questions were.

The focal point of our EduGenie review (and most reviews we write) is the quality of writing you can expect from the academic writing service you’re considering. Sure, a good support team and affordable prices are important when you’re looking for a cheap writing service review, but they can’t substitute for a well-written paper. A helpful customer support team doesn't count for much if you can’t expect service to live up to your expectations regarding the writers’ competence.

We can’t say that the essay we got from the EduGenie writer we hired was perfect, but it was quite good. We’d give it a solid 4/5, which is more than what you can expect from most writing services (except for the select few we keep recommending). The paper did have a couple of typos, and the formatting was off. Also, the writer missed one of the sources we specifically asked them to use. Otherwise, the paper was well-written and thorough.

Now, it's time for the EduGenie prices review. We know that our readers are mostly students, who are often on a budget, so the prices of the services we’re reviewing matter. With EduGenie, there’s nothing to worry about. It’s not the cheapest academic writing service out there, but it’s affordable, especially considering how good of a customer experience you can expect.

For example, we paid only $112.84 for our 5-page undergraduate-level essay. Compared to some of EduGenie’s competitors, that’s more than reasonable. Remember, though, that this is the price with a 15% discount for EduGenie’s first-time clients. If it hadn’t been our first order from this service, we would have had to pay $132.75. Still, even the full price is reasonable.

We also suggest you place your order as early as possible. The deadline significantly affects the price per page. Depending on whether you give the writer one hour or one month to complete the order, you can pay $12 or $37 for the same page of text.

Another key aspect of every academic writing service is whether or not it offers unlimited free revisions, especially in situations when the client’s dissatisfaction with the first draft is clearly the writer’s fault.

Our experience ordering from EduGenie suggests that there’s nothing again for you to worry about. When we received the notification that our essay was ready and read the draft, we noticed a couple of issues we wanted the writer to fix, including their failure to use one of the requested sources. The writer agreed almost immediately, and they completed our revision quickly and free of charge.

The only issue we had was the evident lack of communication with the writer and the support team. After the writer had already agreed to revise the draft, the support team kept texting us to ask us to wait until the writer was ready to review our revision request. Perhaps this was some lag in the system, but it did sour our experience a tiny bit.

EduGenie has one of the widest selection of deadlines in this industry. Typically, the shortest deadline you can count on is 3 hours. You're in trouble if you’ve just remembered about an assignment due in 2 hours. Most services don’t offer such short deadlines, so you’re at a high risk of missing your submission time.

However, that’s not an issue with EduGenie. The most urgent deadline option is just 1 hour, so the service may save you when you’re desperate. However, you won’t be able to place any assignment if you intend to give the writer just an hour. It’s only realistic for very simple 1-2 page papers. There’s no way anyone but ChatGPT can write a 5-page essay so quickly; don’t even bother to place your order if that’s what you expect.

If EduGenie plagiarism is a big concern for you, we can reassure you there’s no reason to worry. Not only did the essay we received from the service contain no plagiarism (every quote and paraphrase was cited), but the support even offered us a plagiarism report, which is a nice extra touch. You can always use the plagiarism checkers available online to double-check.

The only vaguely plagiarism-related issue with EduGenie was that the writer made several formatting errors. Some colleges consider poorly formatted in-text citations a form of plagiarism, so be careful. Even if you don’t want to bother with revisions, you can fix the in-text citations yourself. Don’t hand in the paper as is unless you’re confident in its formatting.

EduGenie is one of the best academic writing services we’ve reviewed. It’s not in the top ten, and we have a few minor complaints, which is why we can’t recommend EduGenie wholeheartedly. However, it’s still a very good one compared to most services. If you choose EduGenie, you will probably be happy with the experience.
