Based on 1000+ comments from several review aggregators, MySuperGeek has a rating of 4.5 stars, which suggests that most customers are happy with the service. Most reviews praise MySuperGeek for professionalism, high quality, and quick turnaround time. However, we’ve also seen a few that mention poor writing and difficulties getting writers to revise the paper.

It’s our job to make sure our readers understand what they’re about to pay for before ordering a paper from a writing service—be it MySuperGeek or any other platform. MySuperGeek reviews give a lot of valuable insights into the service and can give you a good idea of what to expect, but they’re not enough. That’s why we also test every service first-hand before writing our reviews.

This time, our experience with MySuperGeek and the rating we gave it mostly align with other customers’ reviews. It’s an affordable and reliable service, so we’re comfortable recommending it to our readers. At the same time, there are a few issues that could be improved—primarily transparency—so let’s investigate them in more detail.

My Super Geek… sounds like the title of some run-of-the-mill high school or college rom-com from the late 1990s or early 2000s. The service that we are looking at has nothing to do with romance, but it surely has to do something with high school or college.

The website is pretty to look at and easy to navigate. Unlike many competitors, it doesn’t look dated or glitchy. However, it’s not particularly informative and could use a few more pages. For example, there are no writers’ profiles, so potential customers can’t see other customers’ feedback on a specific expert before they fill out the order form.

You can check customers’ testimonials, learn that the service offers to help you manage homework and meet deadlines and check out the payment methods. That’s basically it.

The site's lack of information confused us a bit but ultimately made us even more interested in investigating the service.

Based on the oldest comments on review aggregators, presumably, the service started working somewhere in the mid-2010s.

The site displays several extremely positive testimonials. They contain all the traditional information about how MySuperGeek paper writing allowed users to spend valuable time with their families, focus on their work, etc.

In particular, customers seem happy with MySuperGeek writers’ professionalism and quality of work. For example, Theresa and Kelly—supposedly MySuperGeek’s customers—mention how helpful, friendly, and supportive the “tutors” they worked with were. “Tutors” is how MySuperGeek calls its writers.

To see if the positive feedback available on MySuperGeek’s website is true, we placed an order ourselves. We ordered a 5-page essay for a cinematography class. After bargaining with several writers, or “tutors,” as they are called on the site, over the price, we finally settled on $25 per page. At the time, we thought it was a good deal, especially for a semi-urgent order (we gave the writer 12 hours to complete it).

Because of the lack of information, even on writers, we’ve decided to contact customer support service. There are three options for communicating with the support team: email, live chat, or phone.

Normally, we recommend our readers to use the live chat option. It tends to be the most efficient way to contact the support team when using writing services. However, for some reason, the live chat wasn’t available when we were using SuperGeek, so we had to opt for the phone.

We got connected with an agent in less than 3 minutes, which is a great response time. Looking for an answer to the question, “Is My Super Geek legit?” we asked them about the service’s guarantees, namely, free revisions and refunds. The agent assured us that we had nothing to worry about and that MySuperGeek’s writers and support agents alike would always do whatever was necessary to make sure the customer leaves the service satisfied.

Overall, the response was somewhat vague, but we decided not to press. Our question could’ve been more specific, too.

You know, a lot of online essay services (like this one we covered in MyAdmissionsEssay reviews) provide information on their top writers on their websites. So, you can see what the service has in store before placing the order. 

Here, you won’t find “Our Writers” and even “Our Geeks” sections (we’ve encountered such a situation when researching for WritePaperForMe reviews, though). If you want to learn anything about MySuperGeek writers, you have to register.

When filling up the order form, make sure that you put as many details as you can in the description. Otherwise, the message will pop up notifying you that “Your task isn’t attracting experts.”

So, as soon as you place the order, the experts start offering their bids. Alternatively, you can settle on a writer that the system picks up based on your essay’s subject. The per-hour rate of the recommended authors is higher than $9.99.

Initially, there were no offers that were even close to our budget. We had to wait for a bit (about 20 minutes or so) until a tutor willing to complete our order for less than $150 applied. So, if you’re in a hurry and on a budget, be prepared for not having too many options to choose from.

The starting price, as claimed by the website, is $9.99 per hour, which equals $9.99 per page. But, as it’s a starting price, you’re not sure what you’re going to pay in the end.

When you’re placing an order, you can see the minimum and maximum bids, which vary depending on the subject of your essay. However, only the maximum bid changes when you opt for this or that subject. The minimum bid remains the same, and it’s $16.

The service doesn’t offer any discount, so we had to pay the full price to base this MySuperGeek review on a real customer experience. But your friends can have 10% off their first order if you decide to participate in the referral program. Unlike other services that offer a commission on every order that your friends have paid for, MySuperGeek offers one-time payment for bringing your friends. For each friend, you can get $25.

Finally, there’s a refund policy mentioned in Terms & Conditions. To get your money back, you need to request a refund within 72 hours of getting the order, as you release funds not after the completion of your paper but upon hiring a “geek.”

You won’t find a lot of My Super Geek reviews regarding revision policy. The Terms & Conditions page briefly mentions revisions in the description of the refund policy. Basically, it states, “If the revision didn’t end in the desired product, you’re entitled to a refund.” In other words, there are no strict revision rules.

Now, let’s discuss the paper we’ve got. The best word we can use to describe it is “fine.” The writer did their best to analyze the cinematography in I, Tonya from the narrative perspective—which was what we ordered.

However, we would’ve appreciated a more polished result. We realize that 12 hours isn’t much for a 5-page essay (plus the time required to watch the movie), but typos and errors in in-text citations aren’t something we expect when paying over $120 for a paper. Still, what matters is that the paper was generally well-written and original; the flaws were pretty minor.

The minimum deadline that you can select for your order is three hours. The maximum deadline isn’t limited. You can set it to two or even three months if you need to. The default deadline for any task is ten days.

Another great thing is that the deadline doesn’t affect the price. The initial bidding price is still $16, but the authors will offer their bids, which will be in the $30-$40 range.

We really cannot complain about the deadlines. We wanted our paper within 12 hours, and we got it within 12 hours. The only complaint we have is that, while not much, 12 hours is enough to deliver a polished paper without typos and formatting errors.

The oldest one-star MySuperGeek review on SiteJabber contains a complaint about plagiarism. When we ran our paper through several plagiarism checkers, we were relieved to see that our essay was original.

Obviously, we didn’t get a 100% originality score—it’s impossible when the paper contains quotes and paraphrased passages—but everything highlighted as non-original was cited, which is what matters.

Also, we ran the paper through an AI detector—and it came back clean again. Our writer might not have been particularly attentive to detail when proofreading the paper, but they were diligent and didn’t try to use other people’s work or AI.

The platform is convenient to use, the support team is responsive, and you can expect to get your order before the deadline. Yet, we have noticed issues with handling our order and had to ask for a revision.

So, before deciding to try this service, consider all the pros and cons outlined below.
