SharkPapers: Service Overview
Shark Papers has been rated with 3.2 stars out of 5 based on 59 reviews, which means that most customers are generally dissatisfied with this service. Customers who leave negative reviews specifically emphasize the poor quality of the papers for which they later received low grades. Shark Papers is ranked 85th among essay writing sites.
Despite its allegedly 10+ years in the market, SharkPapers doesn’t seem to have a very steady reputation on the web. The site is only featured on a couple of trustworthy review sites, where it has only several dozen reviews and fairly low overall ratings of 3.0 +/- stars.
Students who leave SharkPapers reviews tend to share polar opinions about this site, which can make it rather confusing to decide whether this service is good for you or not. To make this decision simpler for you, our experts have studied this site and compiled a review that answers the main questions about SharkPapers.
Our Experts’ Verdict
At first glance, SharkPapers has everything a student needs and meets the overall requirements for writing services. Namely, it has an intuitive website and a very simple order process.
It offers flexible deadlines and a long list of assignment/paper types and topics that you can order. It gives you promises of quality, originality, and timely delivery. But the truth is that many of these promises vanish once you dig deeper.
After testing SharkPapers ourselves and reviewing dozens of unbiased reviews, we rated this service with only 3.2 stars out of 5, which is significantly lower compared to our top-rated sites. So, what is it that we didn’t like about this service?
First and foremost, the Shark Papers site provides tons of misleading information, which doesn’t let us call it trustworthy. Additionally, the service has a fairly bad reputation on the web and not too many reviews, although it has been around for years, which makes us doubt the truthfulness of the reviews provided on the SharkPapers site.
Finally, SharkPapers gives many promises but seems to fail to meet them quite often. It doesn’t provide the quality you expect.
An All-Rounded Service Analysis
Before we delve deeper into our Shark Papers review, let’s start with our first impression and some basics.
When we first landed on the website, it made a fairly good impression on us, with its minimalistic, distraction-low design. The site’s pages are organized logically and thus are easy to navigate. However, we have to note that some elements of the website (such as large banner elements) are loading slower than others, hindering the overall experience a bit.
The layout and format of the core information on the site’s pages are good enough. It seems to provide all the info newcomers might be looking for. At the same time, pages don’t look like they are overloaded with data, which can be rather frustrating.
Yet, the information presentation seems to be a little misleading at times. For example, the customer reviews section on the site’s homepage claims that SharkPapers has a 4-star rating on Sitejabber and a 5-star rating on Reviews.io. In reality, it has been ranked 3.2 on Sitejabber, and it doesn’t have a profile on Reviews.io at all, which means there is no rating.
Customer Support Service
SharkPapers offers you round-the-clock customer support to ensure a smooth experience.
The service offers three ways to contact its customer support:
- Phone
- Live chat
To assess the quality of service, we had to test all three contact methods and ask some questions. The fastest and the most convenient means of communication is supposed to be a direct phone line. There are actually three of them, meant for customers from the US, the UK, and the UAE. For some reason, no toll-free number is provided for Australia, although the service claims to have an office there, too.
All in all, after trying to call different lines multiple times, we managed to reach a support manager in 20 minutes, which isn’t very convenient.
As for email and live chat, these channels seem to work faster. However, they all tend to take more time to wait for a response at night. So, apparently, it’s better to contact the support team during the day.
Writers Pool and Qualifications
According to the service’s About Us site section, there are 560+ writers in the SharkPapers’ pool. At first glance, this sounds quite impressive because such a large pool of writers should enable SharkPapers to deal with nearly all types of tasks and subject areas. However, when we decided to study the “Writers” section on the site, we faced certain doubts.
First of all, it’s good that the service doesn’t hide its writers and makes their profiles publicly available. On the other hand, when you keep scrolling and clicking the “Show More” button on the Writers’ page, eventually, you will only find 14 profiles of writers. In fact, on the site’s home page, the indicated number of writers is also different – 150+, and this looks quite shady.
A few other things we know from the website concerning its writers is that they are all well-educated experts with degrees originating from the US. Indeed, their profiles demonstrate MA and Ph.D. degrees, hundred-some reviews, and incredibly high ratings.
SharkPapers Prices & Discounts
On its site’s home page, SharkPapers promises to provide you with exceptional benefits at an affordable price. As stated on the home page, the Shark Papers price kicks off from $14 per page.
Unfortunately, though there is a dedicated pricing page, it doesn’t really provide any valuable information but only states that the price is individual and confidential and that it’s based on three main factors:
- Deadline
- Number of pages
- Academic level
To our disappointment, we also didn’t find a price calculator anywhere on the service’s site. In our experience, a convenient online calculator is a common feature in top-rated writing services that are striving for transparency and want new visitors to know how much they will pay for a particular kind of task.
And what about discounts? Unfortunately, the Terms and Conditions don’t tell us anything about regular discounts available on the site. However, at the time of our review, there was a generous offer of 50% off all orders for a limited time. With this discount, our college-level argumentative essay of 5 pages due in 4 days turned out to cost us $79.95, though the regular price was $159.90.
So, what can we say in conclusion? It’s not very convenient that you can’t see a price breakdown before you initiate the order process. Also, the starting price is somewhat higher compared to other sites that top our rating.
Revisions and Money-Back
SharkPapers claims to offer free and unlimited revisions to every customer who’s not satisfied with the quality. However, according to the site’s policy, revisions are only possible if requested within 14 days after order submission.
As for the money-back policy, SharkPapers features a standard 30-day refund guarantee, according to which you can claim your total funds back within 30 days after the order is delivered. A refund is possible if there are quality or plagiarism issues validated by the Quality Assurance Team.
Also, it’s possible to claim compensation if your order wasn’t delivered on time. But here’s the trick – in the case of late delivery, you can’t request a full refund; only the Time Delivery Difference Compensation is calculated based on your deadline and the delay time. And there is no possibility of a refund for a bad grade.
Although the policy seems somewhat fair, it’s important to note the negative customer reviews we found on trusted resources about SharkPapers’ inability to provide money back. Some of these reviews actually sound pretty disturbing:
SharkPapers Deadlines
The minimum deadline available at MyPerfectPaper is 12 hours. Although the company does offer such urgent help, short deadlines aren’t applicable to all assignment types, and they are much more expensive compared to regular orders.
Of course, on its website, MyPerfectPaper guarantees that all assignments will be delivered on time, regardless of the due date. They also guarantee that there is no space for poor quality, even in urgent orders. However, customer reviews state the opposite.
Many users leave negative reviews concerning the service’s timeliness. Here are just a few of the many reviews we found:
“A month later and the papers are still not finished.”
“They took my money did not finish any of my three papers on time.”
Our pros also placed an order to test the service’s quality. We ended up with a mediocre-quality history essay that required heavy editing. And it was delivered one day after the initial deadline.
Shark Papers Plagiarism
On its site’s pages, SharkPapers claims to acknowledge the importance of academic originality and promises to provide you with 100% original papers, 100% written by humans. Typically, such specific, exaggerated claims act as traps for customers, which seems to be the case.
According to our own experience and customer reviews we found on the web, SharkPapers fails to deliver 100% AI-free and plagiarism-free papers. The situation seems to be different for every customer: while some claim to have only 10% of plagiarism in their paper (which is possible to fix and is generally acceptable in schools), others claim that the papers they received were completely copy-pasted, which is unacceptable.
The essay we ordered was carefully scanned by us to double-check the originality, and it wasn’t 100% unique either. It contained 17% of plagiarism, which is higher than what’s typically allowed in academic institutions.
Shark Papers Pros and Cons
SharkPapers seems to have a long history in the market. However, its online reputation leaves much to be desired. The company claims to deliver exceptional quality but is being shady about the actual number of writers it works with. All in all, this service has both pros and cons, though it seems that the drawbacks are more tangible.
