Overview for KillerPapers
Killer Papers is ranked 59rd among essay writing sites and receives a 2.7-star rating based on 56 reviews, with many expressing dissatisfaction because of lengthy turnaround times. Our comprehensive site evaluation reveals a low 2.7 out of 5.0 score. This raises concerns about the company’s reliability and paper quality.
A member of our team has ordered a 5-page literature essay to experience the journey of hiring a writer from the perspective of a regular student. Besides, our team spent quite a bit of time assessing the functionality, user experience, and overall quality of the website. We find out if everything KP claims about their service is true, covering customer service, pricing, etc.

KillerPapers: Our Opinion
The founder, who goes by the name of “KP,” started the project back in 2016. KillerPapers is a typical tutoring, essay-writing, and proofreading service, however, with higher than average prices. The reviews are mostly mixed: you’ll see it clearly if you check the Reddit review threads.
In fact, not only Reddit users doubt the platform’s legitimacy. Here’s what we found on this popular forum thread:
Most of the positive reviews seem to be written by bots ‒ plain, repetitive, and without details. On the contrary, people who shared their negative experiences with the service describe it vividly.
If you ask yourself, “Is Killer Papers legitimate?” ‒ we can’t help you with that, simply because everything we know about the service is the statements given by the website. There’s no legal information about the company on the web except for the “About us” page on its website.
However, the main thing that interests us is the quality of the papers. And here, we had some issues. A member of our team ordered a 5-page literature essay, and it didn’t go as smoothly as our orders on DoMyEssay, WritePaper, or Studyfy, for instance. But we’ll get back to that later.
Considering the real reviews and our experience, try looking for another writing service. Read on, and you’ll see exactly why.
Our Experience With KillerPapers
The first thing we took a look at was the website’s design. Kudos to the guys who worked on it: the site looks decent. We would say too much information is piled up, but overall, the site looks nice.
To figure out if the KillerPapers essays are of the same quality as claimed, we ordered a college essay. The topic was “The Song of Roland: Historical and Interpersonal Conflict.”
Though the deadlines were strictly met, the final product disappointed us a bit. First of all, the paper structure looked heterogeneous. The writer jumped from one point to another without logically finishing most of them. A lot of passages looked like they were generated by AI and rewritten to avoid exposure. Some paragraphs looked like they were copied straight from the source.
Generally, the text could pass as a school essay, but that’s definitely not a college level. It’s not completely bad, but it’s not great either ‒ though the platform promises the best quality, no AI use, and zero plagiarism. It's a strikingly different experience compared to what we had when working on our PaperWriter reviews and EssayService review.
How Good Is KillerPapers Support?
There are two ways to contact KillerPapers support. The first one is e-mail. KP claims that you can chat with any tutor/writer and ask any questions you want. E-mail is not the best way to do that, we think, especially if you’re in a hurry. The reply time via e-mail can take up to a day. So, we went straight up to the next option ‒ a live chat.
Just right off the bat, we see a message - “the average reply time is ~1 hour.” That’s too long, we believe, particularly if the deadline is really close.
By the way, the owner says you can text him directly on Instagram if no one’s answering. That seems a bit weird, considering the “huge client base” the company has. Why would you do the chat operators’ job?
Anyway, 14 hours passed, and we still haven’t heard from the support team. And it’s no wonder. It wasn’t a single KillerPapers review expressing frustration with the uncooperative support ‒ other customers encountered such problems as well. Their requests were ignored up to the last hours before the deadline. Sometimes, the support went unresponsive when dealing with complaints and dissatisfaction.
Perhaps we and dozens of other clients just came across an incompetent support operator. Yet, of course, it’s not an excuse. This is not how a decent service should treat their potential customers.
KillerPapers Writers: Legit Professionals or Postgraduate Amateurs?
The founder claims that the reason prices are high ‒ we’ll cover the pricing next, don’t worry ‒ is that they don’t outsource the job to “Indian or Kenyan college grads.” Indeed, if you want to apply for a job at KillerPapers, you must contact them from a .edu e-mail address. This, supposedly, should prove your affiliation with North American universities.
But this method is kind of unreliable because anyone can be behind the e-mail address. You can buy any .edu e-mail, or it can be stolen and reselled. Why don’t KP managers ask their potential employees for a diploma or something?
All of the writers and tutors are hidden behind cartooney profile pics. It’s an interesting design solution, but we’d like to know more about them since we deal with a “trustworthy North American dream team.” Is there a reason to hide the identity of employees? Well, we doubt that.
Killer Papers Price: The Fees Are in Fact Killing
You won’t miss the price calculator ‒ it takes like 1/8 of the website’s homepage. It’s well-executed, though: you can choose the language, subject, academic level, and other stuff. KP offers five different payment methods to their clients ‒ and that’s a plus. But we wish we had as many options to contact them in the first place.
Now, to the most interesting part ‒ how much does Killer Papers costs? Our 5-page college essay with a maximum 7-day deadline cost us $140. It’s absolutely ridiculous and way too expensive for an ordinary student. But here’s more: a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation with a 24-hour deadline will cost you a whopping $100. Come on, what kind of presentation should it be to cost so much?
Again, the owner tries to justify the prices by the fact the job is done by “100% North American Experts.” Still, it’s hard to believe the rates are fair.
Revisions Possibility
The website is not explicit about the revision policy. Yet, you can read about it in the Terms of Service. Customers can request a revision within 24 hours after order delivery. Unfortunately, KP does not guarantee the writer will fix your paper ASAP: you have to give them up to 72 hours to do that.
According to one of the reviews we found on the web, it seems that KillerPapers offers you three free revisions (at least as of February 2023). However, people dealt with cases when KP writers did little to no changes to waste these free revisions so the customer would eventually pay extra.
Nothing to quibble with, right? The revisions are done; try to specify your wishes clearly next time. And pay extra, if you would be so kind. Again, it could be a one-time thing, but we found at least six reviews describing how people were dissatisfied with their revised papers. Very sad and unfortunate; what else can we say?
How Are Things Going With the Deadlines?
You can choose the deadline you need. KillerPapers can complete your task in 12-48 hours if you need it swiftly or drag it out for 3-7 days if there’s no rush. However, we can find some big offers like a dissertation among the list of academic papers they can do. We are not sure how exactly they can write such a monumental research project within a 12-hour limit, but that’s a real option you can pick there. A 14-page dissertation done in 12 hours will cost you $630. Sounds impressive, but again, we doubt it’s possible, even for that amount of money.
We found a review on SiteJabber just on the matter. The KP representative tried to justify a poorly done dissertation by saying something like, “Don’t expect a lot on a 12-hour notice.” So, why is it possible to order a big project like that for such a tight deadline in the first place? We’ll never know.
Nevertheless, our paper on the Song of Roland was completed on time, and we had no complaints in this regard. The time limits KP offers are flexible, and that’s a good thing. But can the writers do everything claimed within particular deadlines? That’s another question.
Original Content Only?
The front page says it clear: zero AI, zero plagiarism. And yes, while the text we received passed the plagiarism check, we still were puzzled. A lot of passages looked like they were generated with AI and then rewritten. Sometimes, it seemed the writer looked up synonyms and typed them in, but they didn’t fit in the text stylistically. Something felt off. Several passages looked like they were copied from a literature-encyclopedia source and rewritten the same way.
Considering how much papers from Killer Papers cost, you’d expect an original, insightful, and well-structured work. Yet again, though the reviews are mixed, we didn’t find a ton of them accusing KP of plagiarism (though we came across some). Even if the writers do plagiarize, they try to do it as imperceptibly as possible.
KillerPapers: To Choose or Not to Choose?
Okay, what pros does KillerPapers have? Everything regarding the price estimation is well-executed, the website looks nice, and the variety of deadlines is decent. That’s all; we’re out of silver linings. What cons does it have? Poor customer-company communication, not the best writing quality, huge prices, and zero proof of writers’ qualifications are not all of them.
Our experience with KillerPapers turned out to be kind of disappointing. There are still questions we’d like to ask regarding the discount system, a proper explanation of the revisions policy, the credibility of writers, etc. But the live chat operators either don’t respond completely, or it takes ages for them to finally notice our messages. Luckily, there were enough reviews online, and we got some answers. It didn’t happen the way we wanted it, but it is what it is.
