So, what are the main complaints found in professional WiseEssays reviews? For example, one reviewer claimed the writer was helpful, but the paper that was ordered didn’t meet their expectations. Still, they had a more or less positive experience with customer support service—it was responsive but failed to answer some questions.

Another reviewer states that Wise Essays can barely be called a legit service. Their team’s experience wasn’t even slightly positive. The ordering process was difficult, customer support was unresponsive, and the ordered paper contained plagiarized content (big chunks of it).  

Now, how much of that is reflected in our experience? Well, we’ve encountered some aspects mentioned in those articles. Yes, the service has an easy-to-navigate website, but the positive aspects pretty much end there. The communication with the support team was preposterous. You can communicate directly with the writer, but that doesn’t lead to ultimately satisfying results.

You know the caveat already, so you can stop reading if that’s all you need. But stick with us if you want the details.

Communication With Wise Essays Support or Lack Thereof

We’ve already stated that our experience was close to the WiseEssays.com reviews mentioned above. And WiseEssays’ customer support service played a pivotal role in that.

If you want to communicate with the customer support representative, you need to click on the chat window in the lower-right corner of your screen. There you will be offered to leave your name and email. You can skip that and opt for the live chat, and… you will be offered to leave your name and email address again, as the support team is not available.  

We encountered the same situation during all of our attempts to communicate with a customer support representative via live chat.

Why not just communicate via email, then? By the way, if you think that communication via email is any better, you are gravely wrong. Well, yes, it is better, as your messages get answered. But with a 48-hour delay.

We received a reply to our initial message regarding negative reviews two days after placing an order. Maybe we were just unlucky. Perhaps other customers’ experiences were better. However, the website claims it has 24/7 customer support. And we don’t know in which universe “We're not available right now, but we will reply as soon as possible” corresponds to 24/7 customer support.

Wise Essays’ Writers: Do Their Awards Impact Your Orders?

A great thing about WiseEssays is that you can actually check the short bio of every writer, as well as reviews left by past customers. And the service allows comments that are not exactly favorable. Here and there, you can find comments about a missed deadline or unreliable sources. That’s a plus, as the majority of services tend to keep only positive reviews.

The homepage also offers a great lure for prospective writers in the form of awards. Excelling in working for the service, you can become a Writer of the Month, Most Punctual Writer, or one of the Top 10 Writers. And upon checking out the writer’s bio, you can learn how many times they received this or that award.

But do awards mean anything when it comes to essay help WiseEssays offers? We opted for a more or less difficult essay: “The Promise of the Past as Means of Corruption in “Needful Things” by Stephen King.”

And, despite detailed instructions and regular communication with our writer, the end result left much to be desired. We even had a feeling that all our communication and instructions were in vain. We’ll get into details about our experience in the following sections.

How Much Will You Pay for Your Wise Essays Order?

The WiseEssays.com prices are quite palatable. For example, ordering a high school essay with a maximum deadline will cost you $9.11 per page or $7.74 if you have a coupon code. If you need a college essay, the per-page price will be $10.13. Undergraduate and post-graduate will cost $10.75 and $12.01 per page, respectively.

We would like to tell you the price for the minimum deadline, but the form that you see in the screenshot doesn’t move. You can click the last option on the right, which is half-obscured, but you won’t see the deadline or the price that it shows.

Our five-page essay with a maximum deadline of fourteen days cost us $50.65. And you know what the interesting point is? You have to pay upfront.

There is a First Order Discount, which is 15%, but you can’t apply it to your first order. You get notified about it only after paying for your first essay. After your second order, you can get 10%.

Also, discounts depend on the number of pages your order has. You get a 5% discount on orders longer than 10 pages, 10% on orders longer than 25 pages, and 15% on orders longer than 50 pages.

As for refunds, they must be requested within three days after the original order’s deadline.

Wise Essays Revisions Are Free, and You Might Need Them

As we’ve mentioned in previous sections of our WiseEssays review, we had regular chats with our writer about our “The Promise of the Past as Means of Corruption in “Needful Things” by Stephen King” essay.

In the instructions and throughout our communication with the writer, we pointed out that most needful things offered to the characters in the novel have something to do with their past. A promise of good old times when you had no arthritis, Elvis Presley was alive, and you were winning at horse races. The writer clarified the instructions with us, but the end paper mentioned corruption through wants and nothing about the promise of the past.

The revision policy worked in our favor. You can request and get an unlimited number of revisions within two weeks after the initial deadline. Once again, we had to wait two days for the support team to reply to our request. Gladly, everything was fixed with the first revision.

Funnily enough, the writer didn’t bother to find new examples from the novel to make our point. They decided to stick with the three we mentioned above.

WiseEssays.com Deadlines: Should You Expect Your Order On Time?

As we’ve mentioned, you cannot learn the minimum deadline from the form with prices and deadlines on the homepage. But we toyed with the order form. Based on our experiment, the minimum deadline is six hours. Every time we tried to opt for a lesser amount of time, we got a message saying that we should give writers at least six hours to complete our order.  

As usual, the deadline affects the price. A college essay with a maximum deadline of fourteen days will cost you $10.13 per page, but if you opt for the minimum deadline, the price will be $34.95. PhD papers, with a minimum deadline, will cost you $43.95.

Now, should you expect your order on time? Based on our experience, yes. We’ve got our paper within two weeks. But, given that the paper had to be revised, and it took support two days to reply to our request, the on-time delivery was ultimately pointless.

The Originality Question: Are WiseEssays’ Papers Unique?

Given the reviews we found, we had a serious question: is WiseEssays.com safe to use when it comes to plagiarism? We’ve run both revised and unrevised versions of our essay through several plagiarism checkers. The results were quite good. In most cases, the originality share was between 90% and 93%.

What about AI-generated content? Running the paper through various AI detectors also showed good results: 97% probability that the essay was written by a human.

And that’s really great. That paper is human-written and original. But it doesn’t matter that much, given that our initial instructions were ignored despite the lengthy correspondence with the writer.

Your grades won’t suffer because of plagiarized or AI-generated content, but they may suffer because your essay doesn’t correspond to its own title.

The Benefits and Downsides of Ordering From Wise Essays

Wise Essays service is far from being perfect, but there are a few things that we really liked. For instance, we appreciate a user-friendly website that provides you with all the information that you need right there on the homepage. The fact that the ordered paper didn’t contain plagiarized or AI-generated content works in favor of the service.

However, our initial instructions were ignored, and communication with customer support service is beyond awful, especially given the 24/7 availability claim.
