AI Detector Pro: Will It Wipe AI Traces Out?
AI Detector Pro has a rating of 1.7 stars out of five, and based on just that, we cannot recommend the software to our readers. Scarce user reviews signify that the service is not popular. With that said, AI Detector Pro is ranked 24th among the best AI-detecting platforms.
AI Pro Detector promises to wipe out traces of AI from your texts. What’s the first thing you think upon reading that promise? Right, you check the reviews. And not professional ones but the user ones. Unfortunately, we had no luck with that.
Yes, at the time of writing, the platform has zero comments on review aggregation sites like SiteJabber or TrustPilot. And the articles written on the service are a bit misleading. When giving the list of options each package of the software offers, those articles mention features that are no longer available.
Other articles mention prices that no longer correspond to the actual ones. Anyway, having almost no reviews to rely on, we had no choice but to conduct our own investigation and share our findings with you.
The Promise to Come in Handy in Cheating
AI Detector Pro has been around since early 2023 and presents itself as one of the best AI detection platforms out there. On the surface level, there are enough points to prove that idea right.
It detects AI in several languages, namely in English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, and Portuguese. Aside from that, the service provides you with the analysis of how your text sounds to human ear — we will expand on it later. Finally, it allows you to humanize your text. All that comes at a more or less reasonable price, and some options are available for free.
Yet, what is the goal behind AI Detector Pro? There’s a lengthy explanation in the “About” section on how individuals accused of using AI for their writing experience psychological trauma. All that is crowned with the rhetorical question: Don’t the people with the least power have the most to lose?
So, AI Detector Pro is here to finally bring justice to the world. With the help of this software, you are no longer going to be accused of using AI in vain. But all that begs a question: isn’t it a blessing for cheaters? What prevents them from having AI generate the text and then humanize it using this software? To answer the question, we need to check it on our own.

Create Your Account While Participating in a Survey
We will continue our AI Detector Pro guide by explaining the registration process. As soon as you enter the website, you can see a button on the left that invites you to “Get started for FREE!”. Press it, and you’ll be transferred to the subscription form. You must enter your name and email address there and choose a password. You can either use the one the site offers you or create your own.
Once you’ve registered, you need to pass a little survey. First, you must select the best role that suits you: writer, researcher, or student. We opted for the last option. Then, you need to let the service know how you’ve learned about it.
After that, you need to select the type of content that would be the most useful for you. And we got a bit lost. Here, you can decide between webinars from experts, tips and tricks on how to use the service, coupons and secret codes, and feature updates. One thing makes us wonder: does the selection of the role and content somehow limit your usage of the service?
However, your limitations, as always, rely on whether you opt for the paid or free package.
Customer Support: Don’t Expect a Timely Reply
If you want to communicate with AI Detector Pro customer support team, we have some bad news for you. When on the site, scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Contact.”
You can use the form on the left, where you need to enter your email address, subject, and message itself. Alternatively, you can email help@aidetector.pro. We tried both ways. Firstly, it’s always going to be communication via email. Secondly, the reply will not come in a timely manner.
Our message concerned the AI scan that we got — more on that later — and we got no reply whatsoever using the message form. Our email fared better: we got a reply upon finishing the review. The support team inquired whether we were sure that the results were wrong, even though we provided quite a detailed explanation of what exactly left us so unsatisfied.
Needless to say, we weren’t that happy about the communication with the support representative. AI Detector Pro is on the market for almost two years, and the support form should work properly.

How To Use AI Detector Pro and Why We Aren’t Happy
The first thing that we need to talk about is how AI Detector Pro does its main work, i.e., detects AI-generated content. You simply paste text in the field and click “analyze.” And you learn how easily the software can be fooled.
Not so long ago, we were covering GPTZero. While we weren’t that satisfied with its results completely, it fared much better. At least, that software was able to identify mixed texts.
What is a mixed text, you may ask? It’s a text that is partly written by a human but has parts that are crafted by AI. So, AI Detector Pro is quite good at identifying texts that are completely written either by a human or AI. When it comes to mixed texts… It’s more like AI Detector Amateur.
Half of that text was taken from a short story by Joyce Carol Oates, while another half was taken from an AI-generated essay that we fed the software upon making the first scan. And what were the results? 2% probability of AI.

Everything About the Pricing, Discounts, and Refund Policy

First things first, you can opt for AI Detector Pro free mode, which gives you… not much, to be fair. It only provides you with three scans per month and zero humanization.
Check out the screenshot: we really enjoyed the ✔ near “0 humanization”. Shouldn’t it be just “✖ humanization”? But the free package provides you with tonal analysis and multilingual analysis.
The basic package, which costs $27.98 per month, gives you 103 AI scans, unlimited humanization, and data export. Also, you can keep the unused scans for the next month.
The unlimited package costs $49.98 per month and provides unlimited scans, humanization, and API for an additional $0.09.
But you can get 50% off. When? All the time. Checking out articles about the platform, we found the same 50% discount offer on their screenshots. So, you can get the basic and unlimited packages for $13.99 and $24.99, respectively. And it’s not just for the first month; you will be charged 50% less throughout the year.
As for a refund, you have 30 days to request it. But you have to provide ten text samples where the software failed to identify AI-generated content. And you will only get a refund if the QA team gets the same results by reproducing scans.
Pro Tonal Analysis and How It Makes No Sense
Now, we are getting to the part of our AI Detector Pro review, where we are going to discuss the tonal analysis. Upon learning about the tonal analysis, we were expecting that upon scanning the text, the software will provide us with a detailed explanation why the text’s tone of voice is more human or more AI.
What did we get instead? Under each scan report, you get tonal analysis, part of which looks like a dream catcher, and another part is just statistical data. Can you read it? Don’t worry; the service provides you with information on how to do it.

So, the blue color represents AI, while the orange color represents human work. If the orange color fully encircles the blue color, then your text sounds human-written. If there’s too much blue on that dream catcher, it means that it’s AI-generated. And you should rewrite your text so that it would be more orange than blue.
As for that statistical data… You can more or less get what it’s trying to tell you with “complex words,” “long sentences,” “paragraphs,” and “syllables.” But can you figure out what Dale-Chall, LIX, SMOG index, and Kincaid are without googling?

Humanizer: A More or Less Useful Paraphrasing Tool
One of the things that AI Detector Pro offers is a humanizing tool. Mind that you can only get access to it when opting for paid plans.
So, what is it? Is it a magic button that will turn AI-generated text into prose on the level of classic or, at least, best-selling writers? Well, we are here to disappoint you. There is a button that offers to “humanize document.” Click on it, and the software will highlight the parts that it identifies as AI-generated.
Then, you can toy with the service’s paraphrasing tool that allows you to make your text more human-like. The paraphrasing tool is quite okay, but nothing special. The most important aspect is that it pinpoints the particular segments that it recognizes as AI-generated.
However, given that it shows half-AI-generated texts as 98% human, can you really rely on the tool’s humanizer? You’ll fix that 2% that it marked as AI, but what to do with the rest of AI-generated content?
Defining the Accuracy of AI Detector Pro
With everything mentioned above, we have one final question to answer: is AI Detector Pro accurate? Unfortunately, the answer would be NO.
The software easily recognizes text as AI-generated when the whole text was generated by artificial intelligence. However, if you try to check mixed texts, the results are always dubious. It will either mark it as almost human, i.e., 98%, or, if you write like AI, using phrasing and style typical for it, the software shows up to 70% of AI-generated text. Hence, it’s untrustworthy.
Using tonal analysis is great, but it makes the software easier to trick, leading to either false-positive or false-negative results. And given that the main attraction of the service is its humanizing tool, those dubious results make using it a bit pointless.
Analyzing The Pros and Cons of AI Detector Pro
The prices are reasonable, and AI Detector Pro doesn’t fail when analyzing texts that are either completely human-written or AI-generated. But when it comes to mixed texts, it gives questionable results.
The tonal analysis doesn’t make sense, as you can hardly understand what it shows. The humanizing tool is good at highlighting AI-generated segments, but who cares when the software fails with initial scans?
Is AI Detector Pro a legit service?
Yes, AI Detector Pro is a legit software that allows users to scan text and detect AI-generated content. However, we cannot recommend this service to our users, as the scans often give questionable results.
Is AI Detector Pro a trustworthy platform?
In terms of personal and financial data security, AI Detector Pro is a trustworthy platform. However, when it comes to detecting AI-generated content, the service cannot be called trustworthy. It gives accurate results when the text is completely human-written or AI-generated but fails to accurately scan mixed texts.
Can I use AI Detector Pro for free?
Yes, you can use AI Detector Pro in free mode, but with limited options. You can only scan three texts per month. You can gain access to the said tool and larger or unlimited number of scans by opting for the Basic or Unlimited packages, which cost $24.98 and $49.98, respectively.
Does AI Detector Pro scam its users?
AI Detector Pro doesn’t scam its users; it’s not trying to gain access to your sensitive data. Besides, it offers secure payment methods. However, we cannot recommend this service to our users, as its AI scanning tool is unreliable.
Is AI Detector Pro a fraud?
No, AI Detector Pro is not involved in any fraudulent activity. Throughout our investigation, we didn’t see any signs that AI Detector Pro is a fraud. However, if you’re looking for accurate AI detection, you should look elsewhere, as the service’s AI scans provide dubious results.
Is AI Detector Pro a reliable service?
Based on our investigation, we cannot call AI Detector Pro a reliable service. It provides accurate results when it analyzes text that is either completely written by a human or AI-generated, but it struggles to provide precise results with mixed texts.
