First Look at Essayflow
Let’s start this Essayflow.ai review by answering the question of what Essayflow even is. It’s an AI writing tool (not unlike Jasper AI, ChatGPT, or Writer) developed mainly for academic assignments. Allegedly, Essayflow is “undetectable,” meaning AI detectors consider Essayflow-generated essays human-written. But do they really? We’ll get to it.
Overall, the Essayflow reviews available online are mixed. It has a 3.2/5 rating on Trustpilot, but the number is based on only 9 reviews. Essayflow isn’t on any other popular review aggregator like Reviews.io, Sitejabber, or G2, and it doesn’t seem to be a particularly popular tool at all. That’s not a red flag in itself, but trusting an up-and-coming service is always a bigger risk than using well-established competitors.
To test Essayflow, we used it to generate two different 1,000-word essays: one for free (meaning without any content humanization) and one with Essayflow’s so-called “undetectable words” for a fee. We’ll walk you through our experience to help you decide if it’s the tool for you.
Our Verdict on Essayflow
Essayflow isn’t the worst AI writing tool we’ve come across, but it leaves much to be desired, especially for the price. Sure, you can stick to the free version. However, based on our experience, the essays you get with it aren’t particularly well-written. The text is very obviously AI-generated, and a lot of the sentences are blatantly awkward.
If you decide to pay for Essayflow’s “undetectable words” (which act like credits, similar to how other services charge for premium features), the quality will be higher. However, $17.98/month with a 5,000-word limit is just too much. And the “undetectable” essays aren’t really all that undetectable. You would still have to rewrite them to humanize them further, so the price isn’t justified.
At the same time, Essayflow is more straightforward to use than most AI writing tools, so we can see the appeal. Besides, editing a semi-humanized essay is still easier than a completely AI-generated one, so we understand why some customers like Essayflow despite its flaws.
Here’s how we’d rate different aspects of Essayflow:

Essayflow ai: Main Features & How to Use the Tool
One of the best things about Essayflow.ai is how easy it is to use. Many popular AI writing tools have cluttered interfaces with confusing additional features. Essayflow is the complete opposite: it offers only one feature—an AI writing tool with the option to humanize generated texts.
Once you open Essayflow, you’re asked to give the topic (as well as any details on what you want the essay to cover), select the essay type you need, specify the required word count, and pick a language. Even if you’ve never used AI writing tools before, you won’t have any issues. Essayflow has a very clean and straightforward interface.
Once you’ve provided all the necessary information, you can also tick the “Undetectable mode” box to have your essay humanized. However, it’s not available to free users, so you’ll be redirected to the payment page.
Finally, you can either choose “One-Click Generation” or “Generate Titles.” We recommend starting with the titles to have more control over your essay. This way, you’ll also get to pick an outline out of the two options offered.
Is Essayflow.ai Customer Support Helpful and Easy to Reach?
No, Essayflow.ai’s customer support is probably the worst thing about the service. There’s no live chat or phone number to contact support. The only option is an email address, but even that doesn’t work. Once we sent an email, we got an automated “Address not found” response, which means that there’s something wrong with Essayflow’s email.
If Essayflow were an entirely free service, that would’ve been understandable. But considering that it has paid plans, the lack of reachable support is completely unacceptable. Other customers seem to think so, too. Almost every negative Essayflow review on Trustpilot is about non-existent customer support. Some of the reviewers are trying to cancel their paid plan, but can’t do it because the support team isn’t responding.
Overall, we recommend you think twice before upgrading from free Essayflow to a paid plan. If you pay for the tool and then change your mind, you might have trouble canceling the subscription.
Quality of Writing: Are Essayflow.ai-Generated Essays Any Good?
Don’t confuse Essayflow.ai with a traditional writing service with a similar name – we’ve seen a few reviews where customers clearly did. There are no Essayflow writers; it’s an AI writing tool, not a writing service. You can’t have a human writer write or even edit your essay on Essayflow.
The quality of Essayflow-generated essays is pretty good, even if you are using the free version of the tool. In particular, it does a good job at sticking to academic writing standards, which is often an issue with other AI writing tools.
However, keep in mind that Essayflow’s free version isn’t humanized. You can use it to generate an essay, but you’ll still have to humanize the text yourself after. Otherwise, any AI detector will catch AI-generated content immediately.

Essayflow.ai Pricing Plans and “Undetectable Words”

Is Essayflow AI free? It does have a free version, so you can use the tool without paying. However, unless you subscribe to one of Essayflow’s paid plans, you can only generate non-humanized essays. Moreover, there’s a monthly word limit, and it’s not high: you’ll only be able to generate 2-3 standard essays.
If you want to have access to the humanization feature, you’ll need to select one of Essayflow’s pricing plans: Basic ($17.98/month), Pro ($21.98), or Unlimited ($49.98). The prices are quite steep, especially considering that all of them except the Unlimited one have monthly limits. For example, with the Basic plan, you can only generate up to 10,000/month. That’s not much, especially if you write a lot.
What Essayflow refers to as “undetectable words” is basically credits you can spend on humanization. The more expensive the plan, the more texts you can humanize using Essayflow.
Is Essayflow’s AI Humanizer Worth the Price?
Based on other customers’ reviews and our own experience with Essayflow, the tool isn’t really worth the price. It does a decent job at generating essays, but you can achieve similar results with other AI writing tools, including free ones (like ChatGPT).
Besides, if you write a lot, you will have to purchase the Pro or even Unlimited plan for a higher monthly limit. Both are overpriced, so we aren’t sure it makes sense. Other AI writing tools in the market charge less yet offer a wider selection of tools and have reachable customer support. Essayflow’s features don’t match the price.
However, if you decide that Essayflow is the tool for you and don’t mind paying, we recommend you go for the Pro or Unlimited plan. With the Basic one, you can only humanize up to 10,000/month, which is not enough for someone who writes regularly.
How Quickly Can You Generate an Essay with Essayflow.ai?
Essayflow.ai is pretty quick. If you’re using the free version (without humanization), it will take about 20-30 seconds to have a 1,000-word essay ready. With humanization, the process is a bit longer, but not by much. Your humanized essay will be generated in about a minute or so. That’s a decent speed, but it’s not much different from other writing tools.
Also, we have to warn you that you’ll have to spend some time on your essay once it’s generated. First, even if you’re paying for humanization, it won’t be 100% humanized, so you’ll have to do some heavy editing. And Essayflow doesn’t include references, so you’ll have to add those, too. Essays almost always require in-text citations and a bibliography.

Essayflow Plagiarism: Are Essayflow-Generated Texts Original?
Essayflow-generated texts are mostly original, but you still need to double-check them for plagiarism. One of the essays we generated with Essayflow had a 95% originality score, while the other came back at 89%. So, submitting an Essayflow essay without running it through a plagiarism checker is risky. You might run into trouble with your school.
Moreover, although Essayflow markets itself as an “undetectable” AI, we recommend you check every essay you generate for AI content. One of our essays was humanized, but when we ran it through an AI detector, the result was only about 70% human-written. So, regardless of whether you use Essayflow’s free or paid version, always check everything for both plagiarism and AI.
Essayflow.ai Pros and Cons
As you can see, Essayflow doesn’t look like a good investment. The humanization feature might be tempting, but it doesn’t work as well as the service claims it does. Most importantly, paying for a service without decent customer support is typically a bad idea. You might want to look into better-established alternatives to Essayflow.
FAQ
Is Essayflow legit? Can I trust it?
Essayflow is a legit AI writing tool, but we can only recommend using its free version. The service doesn’t seem to have reachable customer support at all, so upgrading to a paid plan is risky. You might be unable to cancel it later.
Is Essayflow reliable? Does it work well?
Essayflow is as reliable as an AI writing tool can be. It does work well and without major glitches. However, anything you generate using Essayflow has to be checked for AI content and plagiarism. Plus, you’ll need to fact-check (that’s essential when using AI for writing).
Does Essayflow scam customers?
Essayflow might not be outright scamming customers, but its non-existent customer support is concerning. What if you have an issue with your pricing plan or decide to cancel it? Based on Trustpilot reviews, you might not find a way to do that.
What is Essayflow? How does it work?
Essayflow is an AI writing tool you can use to write and humanize essays. All you need to do is give an essay topic and relevant details and specify the essay type. You can also generate an essay that’s already humanized and has a lower AI score, but you’ll have to pay for it.
Is Essayflow safe to use?
Essayflow is only safe to use if you stick to the free version. Without reachable customer support, becoming a paying customer is an unnecessary risk. There are numerous AI writing tools with better reputations.
What are Essayflow’s main features?
Essayflow doesn’t have many features. You have an AI writing tool with a humanization feature (which is only available to paying customers). And that’s all. The “SciChat” that Essayflow supposedly has is actually the same writing tool, at least for now.
