Cuemath Overview

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Сuemath.com has a rating of 4.2 stars from 1,585 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their services. Reviewers satisfied with Сuemath.com frequently mention practice questions, great experience, and 2nd grade. Сuemath is ranked 19th among math help sites, scoring 4.2 out of 5.0 in our research.

So, what is Cuemath? It’s a service that offers help with math. Its main customers are parents who want to help their children improve their math comprehension. The service focuses on children of different ages - from kindergarten to the 12th grade.

The service is quite easy to use, although their website’s main page is not very descriptive. It mainly focuses on their reputation and partners instead of showcasing their tutors or testimonials. For example, you cannot access a full list of their teachers before signing up. For that matter, finding the sign-in page is also very difficult. You can only get access to the site and its teachers after you schedule the trial class, which you can only do by phone. And you cannot schedule it for ASAP; you must pick a specific time over the next few days.

What We Think About Cuemath

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Cuemath is undoubtedly a useful new resource for students willing to improve in math. They offer you to fill out a simple questionnaire when requesting a call that helps the service understand your goals better. During the call with the counselor, you determine your child’s strong and weak suite. Then, you are scheduled to have a one-on-one test class with a teacher appointed by the counselor. Both the call and the test class are free. That is definitely a bonus.

As for Cuemath fees, they can be quite expensive, yet, quality teachers aren’t supposed to work for free. You can get the lowest price if you are from kindergarten to 8th-grade levels and buy a 12-month bundle. The full price will be $1820.50, with each class being $18.96. And if you are a 9th to 12th grade student, the classes will cost you $3034.16, with $31.61 per class. While the price per class might not be that expensive, it is only available if you pay the full sum upfront, which is quite an investment.

Our test call and lesson were quite successful - the counselor understood our goals, and the teacher was knowledgeable enough. However, we didn’t buy the bundle because Cuemath doesn’t offer refunds. And once you pay almost $2000, you can’t get them back.

How does Cuemath work?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Cuemath pairs a student with a live teacher for online classes. Normally, a student takes 8 or 12 classes monthly, each lasting 60 minutes. So, overall, it’s quite an intense schedule with two or three classes each week. They also have Cuemath app that contains math games and brain training. You can also have the lesson with your tutor in the app. The app is free, but you must subscribe to cuemath.

When we had our trial lesson to test this service, it was moderately satisfactory. The teacher was knowledgeable in math and did explain things very well. We had one of our researchers working undercover and posing as a 12th-grader. The teacher did help us solve the math problems we prepared; they didn’t give us the answers straight but explained the concepts and formulae. One thing to note, though, was that the researcher had a very strong accent and was hard to understand at times.

Overall, Cuemath does deliver on its promises and seems to hire knowledgeable teachers. However, the service is expensive, and it is not affordable because you have to pay for 6 or 12 months upfront.

What about Cuemath support team?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Support at cuemath did not leave us with the best impression. When you use the chatbot at the bottom right corner of the main page, it just recites the page's contents to you. It explains what the service is for and then offers to fill out the same questionnaire you filled out when you signed up for the trial class. There’s no way to contact a human from that chatbot.

Cuemath customer care does employ people, but they are hard to reach. You can only do that using their email, which is not stated on their main page; you must dig deep to find it. They also do not give refunds. If, for any reason, you are not able to attend the classes you’ve paid for, the money will not be refunded and can’t be transferred. We did eventually get in touch with a human through email. They took a few hours to respond, and the messages seemed robotic. Most of them were pre-written and used as templates. We didn’t get the confirmation code for long, but the support team eventually fixed the issue.

What do other people say about Cuemath?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

When you look for other people’s reviews, there are plenty of them. The company has 1183 reviews on TrustPilot and 169 on SiteJabber. However, when you look at TrustPilot reviews, many seem fake. Let us explain. Most of these reviews have been left from accounts with only one review, indicating that the user created an account to leave that review. These testimonials are also overwhelmingly positive and go into great detail about how incredible the service is. All of this makes us feel like the reviews were not left by real users. However, a Cuemath teacher left a negative review, saying she only got a fraction of the fee the students were charged.

As for the reviews from parents that our team deemed real, many people praised the teachers but not the service. They seem to keep changing policies, double-charging people, and canceling classes. You can only cancel a lesson 12 hours beforehand, but the platform doesn't reimburse the class if the teacher doesn’t show up. Overall, the opinions on Cuemath vary among users, but we can say that you should tread carefully with a service like this.

Cuemath Tutors

How much is Cuemath?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

As we’ve already mentioned above, Cuemath pricing is not that affordable. You get the best deal if you pay the heftiest price upfront. The price for one session ranges from $18 to $31, but you’d have to pay almost $2000 upfront to get such a discount. Most people are probably better off finding a teacher in their area for the same cost. The local teacher might charge even less for in-person classes and get to keep the profit in full.

If you can spare that sum and are willing to commit to a tutoring service for at least six months after just one trial session, by all means, you should go ahead. Yet, for most parents, that would be too expensive.

However, they do offer a free app that you can use. There are lots of brain-boosting games and math riddles that can be a fun way for a kid to learn math. The app will be useful to kids up to the 10th-grade level.

Cuemath Pricing Policy

Can you get a refund at Cuemath?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

The short answer is no, you cannot. Unfortunately, if you cannot continue with the classes, the money you’ve paid will just go down the drain. Apart from that, you can only reschedule or cancel a class for a limited number of times. Many parents in the reviews argued that it is extremely inconvenient and disrespectful. Kids have a lot of commitments and extracurriculars, and as they grow, some of those commitments become unavoidable. Not letting them cancel a lesson when they need to is unreasonable. You can also reschedule or cancel a class not later than 12 hours ahead of time. Even if you’ve discussed it with a teacher, and they were fine with it, the platform will not let you do it.

The teacher reviews of the platform are not as positive either. Many complained that what they get per lesson does not compare with what the students pay.

To finish, Cuemath is not a scam - they provide a service in exchange for a fee. The service they provide is of high quality. Yet the fee is unreasonably high considering everything that accompanies that service.

How long do Cuemath sessions last?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Cuemath lessons last for 60 minutes. If you or your teacher is late, you cannot make up for the time lost. You can also cancel or reschedule the lesson up to 12 hours beforehand, not later. You must consider these conditions when using the service because its policy is strict and inflexible. The platform will not let you escape its terms if you’ve agreed on a certain arrangement with the teacher beforehand.

Overall, an hour is a fair amount of time for a math lesson. Kindergarten students might tire faster, but it’s perfect for young adults and teenagers. However, the lessons for smaller children are well-adapted to their learning style and include a fair amount of play and fun.

What are the alternatives of Cuemath?

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Cuemath is certainly not the first of its kind, but is it the best? There are plenty of Cuemath competitors, some of which might even be better. Let’s look at Cuemath reviews from teachers, parents and students and explore their competitors’ pages.

Tutor.com is similar to Cuemath but offers classes in more than 250 subjects, not just math. It might be useful if you’re looking for a one-stop-shop solution for all your tutoring. However, at the same time, teachers at Cuemath might be more dedicated since they only have one subject to cover.

EssayPro.com is an excellent resource for all your schooling needs. They mainly offer help with written papers, but they can also help you complete more creative projects and even coding. One might argue that a company offering writing services is less useful to a student than a tutoring platform. Nevertheless, you can use the paper samples you receive from EssayPro to improve your writing skills.

Cuemath final verdict: Pros and Cons

Unlock the Best Writing Services for Your Needs

Cumath certainly has a lot of benefits but also several drawbacks. In the process of our Cuemath pros and cons reviews, we’ve found that the service can truly be useful to students struggling with math. However, for that resource to be useful, a student’s parents must have a lot of money to spare. Surely, there’s nothing more important than one’s education, yet plenty of less expensive services are out there.

Pros:
  • ✅ Plenty of teachers
  • ✅ Good reviews online
  • ✅ A useful free app
Cons:
  • ❌ Unaffordable price for most
  • ❌ Inconvenient sign-up process
  • ❌ No refunds available
  • ❌ Very hard to contact support
  • ❌ Fake reviews online

Overall, Cuemath is a good resource if your child is battling stress and anxiety before every math lesson. A different approach in the face of a Cuemath teacher may be extremely effective. They can also help your child prepare for exams and improve their grades at school. Yet, at the same time, the service is quite expensive, and the price is not for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cuemath legit?

It definitely is. We haven’t found a single mention of illegitimate activity from this service online. Yet, it’s not entirely fair, either. Many teachers who used to work for them claim they were paid next to nothing and were fired for the most petty reasons.

Is Сuemath a reliable platform?

That depends on what you define as reliable. They will provide you with a service you’ve paid for, but it might not be entirely on your terms. For example, many online reviews mention that the delay time is not covered even if the teacher is late.

How good is Cuemath?

Cuemath is a widely popular and trusted service, and we are not here to tell you otherwise, yet, considering how much does Cuemath cost, they should probably do better. For example, implementing more flexible policies for users or a better support team would only benefit the company.

What is Cuemath, actually?

Cuemath is a service that helps students learn math and change their opinions on it altogether. While it is a noble idea, the execution is not as perfect. The truth is, the Cuemath USA price is way too high for their users. One can safely assume that someone with that money can hire a private tutor for the same price.

Is Cuemath free?

No, certainly not. Cuemath prices start from $31 per lesson, but that discounted fee is only available if you pay for six or twelve months of lessons in advance. The final price then rounds up to $1800 upfront. That’s quite a sum. And if you cannot pay upfront, you’ll have to pay in smaller installments, paying even more in the end.

Is Cuemath good?

Sure. It certainly is a good service that delivers on its promises. The tutor we connected to was knowledgeable and could answer all our questions freely. The tutor came prepared and didn’t ask any questions that had already been asked during the test call. The free first class is also an advantage. Yet, the fact that you must pay almost $2000 afterward is quite discouraging.

I agreed to pay $3k because my daughter needed to improve her math skills. The teacher was skilled enough, yet, we had trouble with the rigid schedule and contacting support.
