What Is Plagium Plagiarism Checker & How It Works
Plagium checker is a standard plagiarism detector. If you have any experience with those, you probably won’t have any issues with making sense of Plagium’s interface. Once you go to the website, you’ll see a text box where you can either paste the content you’d like to check or upload a document.
However, Plagium has three different types of searches: Quick Search, Deep Search, and File Search. Although Quick Search is available for free, it’s utterly disappointing. We ran a fragment from an online article through it, and it failed to identify plagiarism.
We can’t say we recommend Plagium, but if you do decide to give it a try, you’re better off purchasing one of the pricing plans and using Deep Search. Quick Search is just a waste of your time. But before you can pay for Plagium, you’ll need to create an account; don’t worry, it’ll take you only 2-3 minutes or so.

Is Plagium a Good Plagiarism Detector Overall? Our Verdict
The Plagium originality AI detector isn’t among the best-known and popular plagiarism detectors, and we can see why. While affordable and easy to use, it’s neither accurate nor particularly convenient. Moreover, if you have to contact the support team for help, you’ll most likely have to wait for days to get a reply, and it might never come.
That being said, Plagium’s Deep Search does what it’s supposed to, even if it’s not 100% accurate. It’ll help you identify most types of plagiarism (although it’s nowhere near as sensitive as, say, Turnitin). However, compared to most competitors we’ve checked, Plagium is slower and less accurate. Its number one advantage is that it’s quite cheap.
Still, it’s not all bad. One of Plagium’s perks is that it offers both a plagiarism checker and an AI detector. It’s convenient to have both in the same place if you use them regularly and don’t need Turnitin-level sensitivity.
Is Plagium com Reliable and Trustworthy?
Unfortunately, we can’t say that Plagium AI detector is particularly reliable, especially its Quick Search feature. Plagiarism checks can take a while, so it’s tempting to use the quicker option instead of Deep Search, but it’s not a good idea.
To test the tool, we copied a fragment from an online article and ran it through Plagium using Quick Search. It came back with nothing highlighted, even though we took it directly from an online publication. Besides, Plagium has word count limits for checks (unless you pay extra for the so-called “File Search”), so you won’t be able to save much time even with Quick Search.
However, if you don’t mind paying for Deep Search or File Search, it will affect the accuracy a lot, and the accuracy of checks will improve. But if you do pay for a plagiarism checker, it makes more sense to pick something better-known and more user-friendly than Plagium, don’t you think?
Is Plagium Checker Free? Prices & Pricing Plans
No, Plagium AI detector isn’t free. If you want your checks to be at least somewhat accurate, you will have to either buy Plagium’s credits ($.08 per page for Deep Search) or purchase one of the prepaid or monthly pricing plans:
Prepaid plans. With prepaid plans, you basically just buy credits in bulk, albeit with bonuses. For example, for $20, you can check up to 275,000 words.
Monthly plans. Monthly plans are not that different from prepaid plans, except that your plan will be renewed automatically. If you decide to go with this option, expect to spend at least $9.99 (the cheapest plan that will let you check up to 143,625/month). The most expensive monthly plan costs $199.99.
Also, if you intend to use Plagium for detecting AI-generated content as well, keep this in mind when selecting the right plan for you. AI detection costs credits the same way plagiarism checks do.

Plagium’s Reputation: What Do Other Users Say Online?

If you research Plagium checker online, you’ll see that it’s not particularly popular. For example, it only has one review on Trustpilot (and it’s not a positive one). Plagium isn’t on Reviews.io, Sitejabber, or most other popular review aggregators.
The one Trustpilot review you can look up is concerning. According to the user, it’s impossible to get a refund from the service: no matter how many times you text the support team about it, they simply ignore you.
Although we haven’t tried to get a refund from Plagium, based on our experience with Plagium’s support, this review is absolutely true. We submitted a request to have the support reach out to us. Three days have passed, and we have yet to hear anything back. It’s unclear whether or not Plagium even has a support team, but even if it does, they aren’t particularly helpful.
As to the customer satisfaction score, Plagium’s is a 3.2 on Trustpilot, which aligns with how we rated the service upon testing it.

Is Plagium the Right Choice? Pros and Cons
Overall, Plagium detector isn’t the best tool for plagiarism checks. It’s not as accurate and in-depth as some of the competitors. This would be fine if it were free, but it’s not – so we expected more from it. It’s an okay (and quite affordable!) option, but there are way more reliable alternatives that aren’t much more expensive.
Now, one of the best things about Plagium is that it has helpful video tutorials and a Knowledge Base where you can have most of your questions answered. It’s still not a good replacement for a well-functioning customer support team, but tutorials are better than nothing.
