While the tools may be useful, after all, the main asset of an online writing service is its writers. Based on the comments from past users and our own investigation, it seems that you may not get the best help for the average price with StudyMoose.

If there are some drawbacks that immediately catch the eye with StudyMoose, it is the website. Based on all the information that we have, the service was launched in 2016, but the website may suggest that it was launched two decades earlier. And the site is quite confusing.

Yes, you can check the verified experts. You can also look through the free essays and some clients’ testimonials. But where can we find information on prices, discounts, revisions, and refunds? And what does the moose have to do with any of that?

So, we decided to place an order for an essay on the impact of online dating on depression. With the help of Amy, the website’s smart assistant, we’ve done all the necessary steps for placing an order and waited for a writer to pick it.

We’ve got someone named Professor Tomkins, who, according to their bio, has a degree in psychology. We opted for a maximum 10-day deadline. And in ten days, we’ve received an essay that was… not that satisfying. The choice of wording was rather limited; the sentences were short and primitive. And Professor Tomkins didn’t dig deep enough for someone with a degree in psychology.

Things are a little bit quirky when it comes to StudyMoose pricing. What the service offers initially is $13.90 per page. But when you place the order and decide on the deadline, the price ultimately depends on what the writer has to say. We settled on Professor Tomkins because he was the only writer who agreed to do the paper at the initial price. Considering that we opted for the longest deadline possible, it was quite fair. There were writers who offered us to do the paper faster for a bit of extra. Judging from the paper we ended with, we should’ve accepted one of those offers.

As we’ve already mentioned, there’s no information about the discounts on the website, which made us ask the support agent regarding this. Claire offered us to sign up with the service so that she would notify us via email in case any discounts were available.

As for the refund policy, you can request a refund within 72 hours after receiving the paper, and you’re only going to be refunded if the paper doesn’t correspond to the initial instructions.

We must say that when it comes to revisions policy, StudyMoose is quite fair. And it’s impossible to find at least one StudyMoose review complaining about the revisions. Some services attract a lot of negative comments for providing limited revision options, but it’s not the case with StudyMoose. It is safe to say that the service offers an unlimited number of revisions.

Firstly, you can request multiple revisions while the writer is working on your order. Basically, you don’t have to release funds until you are satisfied with your paper. We didn’t release our funds immediately as we got the order. We asked the writer to rewrite the essay so that it would resemble an undergraduate paper rather than a high school one. However, after two revisions, we figured out that we could easily rewrite it on our own.

But even if you released the funds, you can still request revisions. If your paper is less than ten pages long, you can request revisions within a two-week frame after purchasing the paper. In case your paper is longer than ten pages, you can request revisions within one month after the purchase. But, judging from our experience, the revisions may not be that helpful.

Well, it seems that it’s going to be the first Study Moose review to complain about the deadlines. Not that something is wrong with the deadlines per se. The main problem is that you can’t find anything about the deadlines until you place an order. No matter where you look, you can’t find this information.

Setting up the deadline is the second step that Amy, the AI assistant, guides you through. The shortest deadline is fifteen hours, while the longest one is ten days. Of course, the deadline range can be explained by the bidding system of the service. If you have to bargain about the order price, you shouldn’t even expect it to be done within the next three hours.

One more thing is not quite clear, though. When do you start counting the deadline: after the order is placed or after the writer is chosen?

After requesting several revisions, to which our writer replied with the delays, we got our paper and decided to run it through several plagiarism checkers. While a lot of things depend on the checker per se, we didn’t have any report that showed less than 17% of plagiarized material. Needless to say, such quality is unacceptable. The essay contained barely paraphrased sentences from an online article on the same topic.
