‍Can Low Cost Lead to Perfect Content?

Based on comments on various review aggregation sites and our research, HireWriters has a rating of 2.3 stars out of 5.0. Many former users point out unresponsive support service and overall poor quality of the service. With all that, HireWriters is ranked 51 among the best academic help services.

Going through review aggregation websites, we came across comments from both former users and former writers. And although those reviews pretty much contradicted one another, the overall picture was that HireWriters is the worst possible service for both students and writers.

Not to tease you too much, we can state, and that’s without ruining the suspense, that idea is not accurate. HireWriters is not the worst online writing platform out there. At least for one side of the commentators. Yet, the service has its problems, and you should consider them before using it. So, fasten your seatbelt, as a ride to discovering the truth about HireWriters can be rocky.

If you just happened to bump into one Hire Writers review, it can be a positive one. It would say something about the effectiveness of the service or how using it changed your life. That’s what the very few positive reviews say about the service. But dig a bit deeper, and you’ll discover the abyss of negative reviews.

HireWriters was launched in 2012, and bad reviews pretty much haunt it from the very start. Not surprising, as there are a lot of services that operate for several decades attracting bad reviews. Our job is to figure out how far-fetched those negative and positive reviews are.

Most positive reviews seem to be artificial; as for negative reviews… they mention unresponsive support, bad writing, and articles crafted by AI. What’s the point of even checking the service, which, out of 50 reviews, has 39 negative ones? That could’ve been our attitude, but, in the end, our investigation showed that only some of those reviews were fair.

The service’s website looks like it was launched not in 2012 but rather in 1992. It’s that bad. The unresponsiveness of support? Not exactly our experience, but there are problems. Poor quality? Not our case as well. Surely, what we saw was not AI-written content. Now, let’s get into the details.

That’s a question that you get after reading the HireWriters reviews on this or that site. Students often complained that they were unsatisfied with the final paper but were refused a refund. Former writers often point out that they were paid little for their work and fired for no reason whatsoever.

Unfortunately, our investigative journalism doesn’t stretch that far so we could get hired and write for the platform to see if that’s true. But we can place an order to figure out whether the service is honest with its customers.

When you learn about the pricing, it is no surprise that the service is afloat despite the old-fashioned design and numerous bad reviews. Would you like to have your essay written for as little as $1.50? Yes, those are the prices offered by the service. Lower than anything you can find in the online writing market. But are the prices that low indeed? Well, not exactly. More on that in the relevant section.

But that’s not the only reason why students continue to use HireWriters. Bear with us, please, we are not going to keep the intrigue for too long.

When you check out the Support section of HireWriters, you can see where all the complaints about the service’s customer support team’s unresponsiveness come from.

You see, if you want to get in touch with the support service as unregistered users, we have some bad news for you. You’ll have to send an email and wait for the reply. Looking for a HireWriters phone number? Bad news too, you won’t find it. A live chat? Nothing like that either — actually, another reason why the service’s website feels more like it was launched in 1992 rather than 2012. But is customer support service unresponsive? The short answer is no.

We’ve sent an email inquiring about the bad reviews and the registration process. The reply arrived within 15 minutes. The excuse for bad reviews was an emotional state that disappointed customers are in. We were also provided with detailed instructions on how to register and place an order. No one suggested that we go and check the information on the website. And we find it quite polite.

Our further communication with the support service was also quite pleasant. So, based on our experience, we cannot confirm the complaints about the support’s unresponsiveness.

The service claims that by signing up with it, you can have your order executed by one of 1000 native English-speaking writers. Unfortunately, you don’t get to see the writers. So, we cannot say whether the number is true or not. What we can say for sure is that we did get a very smart writer and, based on AI detectors, they were human.

The direct communication between the customer and the writer starts after the writer is assigned to your task. We opted for a very difficult task. We tasked the writer with an analysis of Clive Barker’s “Rawhead Rex” short story from an interesting perspective: Rawhead Rex as a Clash of Democracy and Totalitarianism.

We provided almost no details and expected the outcome to be a disaster. The service in general, or our writer in particular, proved us wrong. Stay tuned, and we will disclose the details in the following sections.

Not only does the service offer the lowest prices on the market, but the prices are not affected by anything except your own desires. The prices offered on the website are the default ones. And they remain this way unless you want to pay more.

And there are a few nice surprises here and there. If you register, you can get $10 for your first order. Besides, you get 25% off your second order. Just $60 for a 3000+ word article written by an expert writer ‒ it Is no surprise that students are flocking to the service despite bad reviews.

Speaking of bad reviews, the refund policy is weird. If you expect to get a refund for an order that you are unsatisfied with, you can forget about it. You can get a refund only when you’re planning to stop using the service within two months and if you have anything on your balance.

You get your unused funds back to your credit or debit card or PayPal account. That’s the refund policy, and you can clearly see why so many past users are unsatisfied with it.

And we are not being sarcastic. Based on the information at Hire Writers com, the customers have unlimited free revisions. And we were ready to use this opportunity from the get-go. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to do it.

You see, we didn’t give the details, expecting that the writer would fail the task. But they didn’t. They did study the short story and proved in the article that the title antagonist does represent totalitarianism, even drawing parallels between the Rawhead Rex and modern, as well as dictators of the past centuries.

We were extremely pleased with the task yet disappointed with the loss of the opportunity to check out the unlimited number of revisions. It was written in perfect English, without errors or mistypes. The absence of errors and typos is generally a sign of AI-generated content, but AI detectors found no trace of AI involvement.

So, based on the low pricing, we decided to order a second article. It was much simpler, and, not to get the same writer twice, we opted for a writer with a general skill level. That one went through three revisions, and we are going to disclose why in the next sections.

There’s no information on deadlines on the website, except for one note that your order can be ready within six hours. It is you who sets the deadline, but you should mind that if you want the writer to meet the deadline, you should increase the price.

Thanks to our communication with the support service, we’ve learned that by opting for a six-hour deadline, you’re risking that either no writer will be found or there will be delays. In other words, be reasonable when setting the deadline.

For the first order, we set a one-week deadline. For the second order, we opted for a shorter deadline of three days. In both cases, the paper was finished on time. However, given that the second order required three revisions, it would be fair to say that it took two days more than we initially expected. Yet, all in all, the service sticks to the deadlines.

The first article on “Rawhead Rex” was unique. Actually, there are no materials to plagiarize from, as it was our unique idea. Moreover, “Rawhead Rex” is far from being Barker’s most analyzed works. Three plagiarism detectors showed 5-7% plagiarized content.

The second article that we ordered was way more shabby. “Can Hanya Yanagihara’s Work Be Considered Trauma Porn?” — our writer had three days to write a unique text on quite a popular topic and failed.

Before the first revision,  plagiarism detectors showed between 78% and 83% of plagiarized content. The numbers were lowered to 40% after the second revision, but AI was involved. Only after the third revision did we get a more or less unique article.

So, do writers truly sweat over your orders or go for the copy-paste approach? Well, everything depends on the article and the skill level of the writer. Hence, it’s better to opt for expert writers.

HireWriters offers probably the lowest prices on the market. If you opt for “Expert Writers,” which is the most expensive option here, your order will be executed by experts. The support is responsive, but the absence of live chat is obnoxious. One review said that the service offers good writing from time to time, but overall, HireWriters should either improve or close down for good. We couldn’t agree more.
